Conditions for Inclusion in the Central
Virginia Business Directory

The goal of this Directory is to promote businesses located in Central Virginia within the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell as well as the cities of Bedford and Lynchburg.

The Directory will provide one free business listing for each business telephone number. (Note: This does not include fax numbers, extensions, or toll free numbers.) If you would like a link to your website, click here.

Businesses which have business locations within these areas and are licensed to conduct business within the counties and cities of Central Virginia will be allowed a free listing in this Directory. If licensing is not required by a particular locale, the licensing policy will not apply.

Exceptions to this policy will be made for businesses which are members of the area Chambers of Commerce. Chamber of Commerce members will be listed in the same manner as other local businesses. Exceptions are also made for businesses which are not located within these areas, but which have a local telephone number for the area. (See details of this policy and information about adding your listing.)  Companies which are not included in these exceptions may submit a Paid Listing Request.

Any company, which is not currently licensed to conduct business in the City of Lynchburg or the surrounding counties, may receive information about obtaining a business license from the appropriate County or City offices. Business which do not have a current license to conduct business in the city of Lynchburg, the city of Bedford, the Town of Altavista, Appomattox County or Amherst County must obtain a license before requesting a listing if located in those areas.  We will remove any business from this Directory if any business is found to be unlicensed or improperly licensed in those localities. Future plans include a form to apply for a business license on-line.

At its sole discretion, Central Virginia Business Directory reserves the right to refuse a listing or advertising to any company.

We have a zero tolerance towards spam (sending unsolicited email). If any customer is associated with spam in any fashion whatsoever, it will be subject to deletion from this Directory without warning and with no refund of fees paid.
